Doctors surgically construct another manhood to a boy that lost his manhood accidentally at childhood.

A boy tragically lost his pe̍nis during an early childhood injury. Now, doctors will try to reconstruct his pe̍nis.

Doctors at Holtz Children's Hospital at Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Florida, will try to surgically reconstruct the pe̍nis of a young Peruvian, who lost most of his genitals after the childhood accident.

Luis Canelo was 9-year-old when a shotgun accidentally went off, destroyed his pe̍nis and most of his testicles, according to a press release. Only part of his right testicle remains. The 16-year-old has had to urinate through a perineal urethra since the accident.

Two medical teams of the South Florida hospital plan to replace his pe̍nis with the skin of his forearm and the bone of a corpse. The surgery is scheduled for next month and is expected to last 24 hours.

"I cannot even begin to explain the complexity of the operation," Dr. Rafael Gosalbez, pediatric urologist at Children's Hospital in Miami said. He and two other doctors will perform the surgery, free of charge.

Dr. Christopher J. Salgado, associate professor of surgery and chief of plastic surgery at the University of Miami, said doctors will remove skin from Canelo’s left forearm "and transfer the skin to make sure that he will feel the sensation in the organ."

Then, more skin will be transferred from his thigh to replace the lost skin on his arm. Another bone implant surgery will be performed to give the organ structure. Salgado said the procedure "is not very common and there is not a lot of institutions that do this.”
