53yr old Simon Cowell expecting his first child with married socialite

53 year music mogul, Simon Cowell, who has dated many beautiful women but has refused to marry is finally going to be a father. Us Weekly reports that Simon is expecting a baby with New York socialite Lauren Silverman, the estranged wife of one of Simon's close friends, Andrew Silverman.

Lauren is said to be about two and a half months pregnant. The X Factor judge and Lauren, 36, have been dating since late last year after Lauren's marriage to Simon's friend broke down. 

Simon Cowell has been engaged twice; to model Louise Payne in 1995 and make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy from 2010 to 2011 but has never been married.

No student died at a Lagos hotel. The real story behind the pic that went viral

 Last week the pic above went viral with many blogs claiming that another student was found dead in a hotel in Lagos. The report claimed that the victim is a girl named Florence Ngwu, a 300L student of University of Nigeria. Erm, no such thing happened in real life. This is a photo from a movie called Murder at Prime Suite Hotel, a fiction but similar to the Cynthia Osogwu murder story.

The character's name is Florence Ngwu played by an actress. The movie stars Joseph Benjamin and Chelsea Eze. The producers of the movie have released a statement. See it after the cut...

Murder At Prime Suite (MAPS): A movie not another social crime

Over the last weekend, news broke out on the Internet about a certain girl, Florence Ngwu, murdered at prime suite, Lagos. We have tried to put a stop to the rumour but it keeps going viral.

I am Jumafor Ajogwu and I am the producer of the movie called, “Murder at Prime Suite” (MAPS). The movie featured stars like Joseph Benjamin, Keira Hewatch, Chelsea Eze, Okey Uzoeshi and a host of other talented upcoming acts. I want to categorically state to the general public that this is a movie; it is not a real life incident. This  movie would premiere nationwide on the 30^th of August, 2013 at Genesis Deluxe Cinemas, Lekki Lagos. Twenty-year-old Eromhonsele Michael was the cynosure of all eyes at the eighth graduation ceremony of the Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, on Friday. He was the best graduating student of the institution. To achieve this feat, he obtained a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.92, out of a possible 5.0, to beat 1,465 other undergraduates.
He says his first few days in the university campus were uneventful. According to him, he was a bit confused because he was not used to the prayer regime that he had to be part of at the faith-based institution. Spirituality is one of the core values of CU.  But as soon as he found his rhythm, there was no looking back for him.
He says he did not allow himself to be distracted by his friends or the opposite sex as he concentrated on his studies.
Listing some of the factors that helped him to achieve that feat, he says, “First, I must acknowledge God’s favour and his assistance. Second, I did not entertain any form of distractions. I did not attend parties, and I did not have any girlfriend or what you may refer to as a lover. I concentrated on my studies.”
What about his study style? Eromhonsele reveals that apart from the serene environment in the school, which is conducive for learning, he loves to read late into the night.

Oge Okoye Does Not Have Hypertension

Over three months ago, Monalisa Chinda’s publicist Egor Efiok wrote an open letter in defense of her client’s new man (Lanre Nzeribe) after so much hullabaloo about their relationship. In the letter, Egor used Oge as an example of celebrities who had been under pressure and literally said “you made Oge Okoye hypertensive with your bullying.” Not long after the letter went public, some fans began getting concerned for Oge Okoye and has been questioned over and over again about her health status.
But that is far from the reality as Oge is in very good health and Egor only meant to say “hypertensive bullying” in the literal sense.
In a an interview she granted over the weekend, she Egor clarified the exact statement she made to that effect:

There was an uproar about a letter you wrote and I would like you to explain a few issues. People were annoyed about you revealing Oge Okoye’s medical history. Can you clarify that?
Well, about that, I must admit that I can be over emotional and spontaneous. If I’d given myself 24 hours to think carefully about it, I wouldn’t have written it. My problem is that im precocious and often times, I find myself ignoring people when the don’t get me, as it’s too much of an effort to explain.
Anyone that really knows English and understands the difference between nouns, verbs, adjectives etc would know that I did no such thing. A lot of people say stuff like “excuse my left” when the correct term is “permit my left.” They’s use words like ‘peak’ when referring to humans instead of ‘pique’ because they have no clue that the former is a verb and you only use verbs with object and the latter is a noun which can only be used with humans. They use tautology a lot too and would promise people ‘free gifts’ in competitions when both words mean the same thing.
My exact words were “you made Oge Okoye hypertensive with your bullying.” I never said Oge had been diagnosed with hypertension. When they started saying that I revealed Oge’s medical history, I just shook my head. Everyone can get hypertensive or develop high pressure as a result of anxiety and normally lots of rest would rectify it. It doesn’t mean that they have the condition.

Gareth Bale is not yet the best player on the planet, but he's getting there. Former Tottenham Hotspur favourite, David Ginola, agrees. "Well what can I say about him?," he told Goal. "Young Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, one of the best players in the world." 

Beneath the immovable top two, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, there is a group of contenders for the consolation prizes. Robin van Persie and Franck Ribery are among them. So too is the Welshman. What separates Bale from all the others now is on-field success and, crucially, a place at one of Europe's biggest teams. 

Both Ronaldo and Messi were Ballon d'Or winners by the time they were Bale's age, 24, and both had won the Champions League as well as any number of league prizes. Bale? He's had one season in the Champions League. His honours list is an insult to his talents.

He has just enjoyed his best season to date on a personal level. Bale scored 21 Premier League goals from midfield and went within a hair's breadth of qualifying Tottenham for the Champions League, deservedly winning all the individual accolades on offer and reaching No.6 in the Goal 50 list. But his Herculean efforts were not enough for Spurs on the collective level. Andre Villas-Boas turned to him at every moment of difficulty. He didn't let his coach down. But it could be argued Spurs let him down. 

The club have been good to him. He's developed well there since shaking off his horrid winless curse and delivering on the potential he showed at Southampton. But it is apparent now that Bale is considering a career away from White Hart Lane. 

He knows he should be playing in the Champions League. Moreover, a player of his calibre deserves to be winning it. He should be challenging for league titles not for fourth place. He will not become the best player in the world at Spurs. He will do so at the Bernabeu. 

One of the most challenging periods in any young player's career is the one that Bale has just gone through. From emerging onto the club scene it is a deceptively long, precipitous road to the top. There are no guarantees that just because a player was effective at 19 he will be at 25. But Bale has outgrown Spurs, such is his dizzying trajectory. He has grown up too fast for them. The best players have to play at the best clubs. 

Neymar, for example; a prodigiously gifted young player and by the time the 2013 Brasileirao kicked off it was widely agreed that he had become too good for his native league and for his beloved Santos. To continue to make an impact and grow and develop would have been impossible at Vila Belmiro. He needed to take that next step. 

And he has done so by taking on a hugely challenging but potentially rewarding transfer to Barcelona. His time came and he took his chance. After winning the Copa Libertadores and going to the final of the Club World Cup there was not an awful lot more he could do with Santos.  No-one could blame Gareth Bale for seeing things similarly. Spurs will not challenge for the league so what is the best he can hope for by staying there? 

Thomas Muller has just won the treble with Bayern Munich and looks like he will be among the most highly-regarded players in the world for the next decade. The perfect physical specimen, just like Bale, Muller is a throwback to some of the great lung-busting German midfielders from the seventies and eighties. Compatriot Mario Gotze is no longer 'promising' having established himself as a top-class attacking midfielder at Borussia Dortmund. Something far more exacting is now demanded of him: proving himself at Bayern. 

Gotze's ex-colleague Ilkay Gundogan continues on his quest to marshal the Germany midfield alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger and hold the fort for Dortmund in the Bundesliga and abroad. The 22-year-old oozes class in the centre of the park. Thibaut Courtois has another season to show Jose Mourinho he is ready to dislodge Petr Cech at Chelsea. The Belgian is tipped by many as potentially the best goalkeeper in the world in the future. 

Meanwhile, Isco and Raphael Varane lead the best young generation at Real Madrid for over a decade after exploding onto the scene last season. The former possesses every attribute needed for an attacking midfielder - skill, creativity, dribbling, a fine shot. The latter has every quality required for a modern defender - pace, power, height, tackling, as well as an old-school intelligence and reading of the game.

Those players, all younger than Bale, have moved on; moved up. This is the new generation, taking their first significant steps in the game and bringing with them the adulation, hopes and expectations of millions. Some will fall down the pecking order. Others will come from nowhere, blooming late. Excellent prospects will continue to be produced. 

What they need, thereafter, is the right club, the right environment for their football to grow. And the right environment for Bale is Real Madrid.

What is it with the celebrity kids on your new movie, ‘Unconditional’?
We didn’t set out to use celebrity kids. I told everyone including you the age range I want and people suggested the kids. Aghahowa’s daughter has wanted to act since age 5, we auditioned Chigozie, and she did well and got a coach to coach them. 2face’s daughter is just a drama queen. And this movie, Unconditional is not all about them, Dakore, Ruth Kadiri and I acted in it. It’s the kind of move that will touch the heart.
If your husband were to be a serial philanderer like Desmond’s character in the movie, Lies Men Tell, what will you do?
I will castrate him, he knows and believes that. To me, there is no excuse to cheat, its either you are with someone or not, and if you are tired of the person, please accord the person decency of respect by saying it’s over. Don’t go making someone look stupid. The problem with me is there is no in- between.
Do you believe what you are saying or are you saying it for the purpose of this interview?
I am saying,Uche Jombo-Rodrigues doesn’t have in-between. That is the reason it takes me long time to make a decision or take a stand on something, but when I do, that is it. There is no excuse not to honour an agreement you have made, this doesn’t have anything to do with this interview. It is the principle that guides me. It is not just about marriage, it’s how I conduct my relationships, its either it is this or that, if that is mymind-set in a relationship, you should know that for marriage it’ll be 150%. There is no room for cheating.

So you believe your husband will or should not cheat on you?
I don’t have control over what someone will do, I’m not God. I’m talking about me, how I conduct things. It’s not an option that it will happen, I will not tolerate cheating.

Are you saying you will not forgive the man who cheats on you and is manly enough to say I’m sorry?
If you are in that situation Sam, oh God! You are going to slave for me for life. And do you know any man that will want to slave for a woman for life, answer?

Is it true you are older than your husband and the man you dated before him?
I have never dated or married someone I was older than in my life. If you have the illusion of someone’s age, that is your business, and I am even too mature for my age. That is the problem, because men of my age are ‘small boys’ around me, I can’t date them. I am someone who has to become a mother to some of my siblings at the age of 14. Because you are an under-achiever does not mean I should play down on my achievement. If age is the yard stick for you to succeed, you should not judge people with it, I don’t have an apology. If I’m learning from people who are older than me that is because I don’t hang out with my age mates; I don’t think there is anything else you want to teach me, and if you want to judge me by the people I hang out with or by when I started my hustle, where the hell were you at that time?  What really matters to me is that people who know me during my not-too-proud days are so proud that, this is me now. I have come far, it’s something I’m grateful for, and I couldn’t have even written it better if it were a story.

Pope says he won't judge gay priests

ABOARD THE PAPAL AIRCRAFT (AP) — Pope Francis reached out to gays on Monday, saying he wouldn't judge priests for their sexual orientation in a remarkably open and wide-ranging news conference as he returned from his first foreign trip.

"If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?" Francis asked.

His predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI, signed a document in 2005 that said men with deep-rooted homosexual tendencies should not be priests. Francis was much more conciliatory, saying gay clergymen should be forgiven and their sins forgotten.

Francis' remarks came Monday during a plane journey back to the Vatican from his first foreign trip in Brazil.

He was funny and candid during his first news conference that lasted almost an hour and a half. He didn't dodge a single question, even thanking the journalist who raised allegations reported by an Italian newsmagazine that one of his trusted monsignors was involved in a scandalous gay tryst.
